[There has been a knot in his chest that's been growing in size since he returned and as embarrassing as it is, he hesitated to undo it. Now that same know has grown to Gordian levels of unruly and has merged with other less than savory emotions which he, understandably, does not want to deal with at the moment. But then an opportunity arose during the ball as he spotted Marie, ever glamorous and radiant, enjoying the festivities. Time to cut the knot, or well, try to.]

[A bit cryptic but might as well test the waters first. After all, one doesn't just simply vanish with responsibilities for a time and reappear.]
[ Marie Antoinette is, indeed, rocking it with her dress and radiant appearance as she hangs by the dancefloor and is currently entertaining one of her friends with some friendly chatter. One of her biggest surprises of tonight will soon occur as the phone in her purse suddenly blares with one of her favourite classical Mozart pieces as the texting ringtone.
Chuckling and offering an apology to her company, she steps away and unlocks the screen, tapping by the message box. Her eyes grow a bit at the name displayed in it. ]

[ He's one of the most talented chefs in her cafe and his sudden absence sent the staff and herself into quite a hurricane for a couple days.
After sending that text, she looks around in search of him, since he made it obvious he's watching her from somewhere. ]
[He could see her from where he is, but she can't find him. Naturally since the black of his suit matches the shadows along the dim lit bar.]
Yeah I am. I wish I had a better reason for being gone so long but I didn't have much choice in the matter. I was here one moment, sent home, and then the next thing I knew I was back here and a couple of weeks had passed and I grew a little bit older.
[AS weird and phony as that sounds, he knows. He's played this conversation in his head about a million times by now and it still sounds like absolute horseshit to him. And it was the truth.]
[ It would sound a bit like nonsense if Marie didn't know how things worked here. Sometimes people from a determinate timeline arrive in Lunatia, only to disappear and then reappear from a whole different situation, and most of the times they even forget everything about their stay here. She's relieved that he remembers her. ]

[Meanwhile, in his little corner of the bar where he sat drinking with the hopes that the bottom of the table will be comfortable later on(which he was getting pretty close to), his hiding place was getting a little compromised as instead of keeping his head low he's now sat upright with a furrowed brow and is re-reading her message out loud and checking with the folks next to him to make sure he's getting it right.]
[ She still felt the need to text that before, a couple minutes later, she appears near the wall after taking a bit to navigate herself through the crowd. ]
Bonsoir, Bishop! At last, I feel as though we need to catch up a lot with each other.
[ He's drinking, so Marie won't do something so reckless as to hug him. Yet. ]
[He takes a long sip from his drink when it arrived as thoughts started to fall one after the other into his mind, thoughts that are incredibly mundane but it brings him a sense of relief a little bit.]

Well, now seems a good as time as any although I don't have much to say other than what I've already said.
Health-wise...[He sips.] I'm still fit as a fiddle.

Though I am feeling a lot more relieved that we're talking like this. I've been rattling in my boots since I came back to this place and realized I vanished for a few days and trying to figure out how to tell you.
[Of course it had to be chocolates. It wouldn't be valentines day without them.]
I know a few, actually. Chocolate Barbeque Chicken, Venison in red wine chocolate sauce, Rigatoni in white chocolate sauce, Cocoa rubbed baby back ribs, and those are the ones I can think off just the top of my head for savory chocolate dishes.
[He takes another sip, sighing with delight.]
For dessert, well, chocolate is chocolate. There's about a thousand recipes and probably a thousand more if you get creative. [He's about to take another sip when something came forward from his memories.] Ah, I just remembered. In the bakery I worked at in Tokyo during Valentines we would make a giant ruby chocolate heart, roughly the size of a six inch by six inch box, which was filled with ruby chocolate coated almonds dusted with a fruit powder. Usually raspberry, strawberry, and cranberry.
It was one of our specialty gift chocolates, and you smash it open and share the contents with your partner. If we could find a heart shaped silicon mold, maybe we could do that too.
[ Those all sound like really great dishes! Not like Marie would delve deep into what they look like, but she trusts him because he's the master chef of her business.
But the other thing he suggests, about the ruby chocolate heart, has her instantly beam at him. She puts her glass down and clasps her hands together, dreamily. ]
That is a mighty wonderful idea! We could add more types of chocolate candies inside the ruby hearts for variety's sake, so that each couple can get something different to share!
I've always wanted to do that, but the head chef was always adamant that we have coated almonds so I never got to experiment. Although, if I did get the chance, the filling would have to be something that compliments the fruity notes of the ruby. Hmmm...maybe dried fruits, or fruit jellies. Would have to be handmade so that it's not overpowering....
[He sips his drink and swirls it in his hand as he thinks, raising his glass as an idea strikes him.]
Maybe for the adults, we could add liquor to whatever the filling is. Maybe like...little spiked white chocolate hearts and wings and such. You know, for cupid. Or half hearts of different kinds of chocolate that they can put together to make a whole heart and such.
[A beat.]
Oh god, that was so cheesy I can't believe that came out of my mouth. Ugh.
[He's either secretly romantic, or frustratingly and unintentional romantic. Probably a bit of all.]
[ Cheesy but effective on a Queen who loves love in every form. Make it super romantic for her and you'll get her undivided attention, like in this moment. ]
I can provide all the materials necessary for that! We already have rulings for adults only in regards of alcohol, so we can work it out so long as we do not accidentally mix up the fillings!
[ Giving alcoholic sweets to minors by accident wouldn't be good publicity for her business... ]

[He will not acknowledge ever being sweet or cheesy despite how he may act. He is a stone cold killer....who works for a maid cafe and likes to cook and bake. There's no way that is ever going to fly.]
[February is still a month away and the good ingredients would only come out around that time. He just as to remember to get them before everyone and their mother gets to it.]
